About

Sometimes when you are driving you will see a church sign that says, “Welcome!” If you stop at Bruen Chapel United Methodist Church for Sunday worship, we really mean it.

Bruen Chapel is a neighborhood congregation. It consists of long-time residents of our area, and newcomers from varied backgrounds. These blend in a caring fellowship where everyone is valued and important. We are very interested in being in ministry and mission in our own local community –which is becoming more and more diverse in socio-economic, as well as ethnic, cultural, and religious terms.

As a United Methodist Church, we are also connected to a very large Christian organization with a global impact. The United Methodist Church is involved in mission and ministry in Jesus’ name in over 125 countries around the world. A share of our offerings goes to support our denomination’s wider mission, and mission efforts as diverse as community centers in Appalachia, or used clothing closets, food pantries, and homeless shelters in urban centers, to hurricane relief in Haiti, a clinic or seminary in Sierra Leone, or a girls’ school in Mozambique. (To learn more about the United Methodist Church, our beliefs and our mission, visit our denomination’s website: www.umc.org.)

Anyway, if you are new in the area or just looking for a church home where you will feel a part of the family and can get involved right away, check us out! Our Sunday schedule is as follows:
