opportunities for mission

The opportunity to actively support Bruen Chapel's Mission Program exists throughout the year.  Mission projects are developed and produced by the Mission Committee.  This year's Committee chair is Jean Bell.

The Mission Committee collects Campbell Soup Labels year long.  Look for the box in Room 208.  The labels will be sent to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota where they can be redeemed for school equipment.

Mission Projects occur seasonally throughout the year.  During Lent collection boxes will be provided to parish members for St. Andrew's Society, a mission to overcome world hunger.  A collection of monies to obtain scholarships for children of those in prison,  who wish to attend a God's Kids Camp held at Highroads, a camp run by the Northern Virginia Bi-District of the United Methodist Church.  Buying shares of animals to benefit the Heifer Society and preparing Christmas stockings for the Salvation Army ends the year.
