ESL classes will be offered at Bruen Chapel UMC on Thursday evenings, May 10 - June 21, 7:30- 9:30 pm.

3 classes: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced Discussion. (Our classes are small).

Our emphasis is on helping you build your vocabulary and practice essential conversation skills, answering your questions, and giving you an opportunity to speak English with others in a relaxed setting.

$20 Registration Fee. Sign up when you come!

Register on May 3, 7 pm.- 8:30 pm — especially if you have not been our classes before.

If you are a returning student, email pastorbruenchapel@gmail.com to let us know you will be coming and pay when you come.

Bruen Chapel UMC is located at 3035 Cedar Lane, Fairfax, VA. This is one block north of Rt 50 (Arlington Blvd) about a mile west of
I-495 and a mile east of Fairfax Corner.

We’ll have a light supper and a short devotion, and spend some time in fellowship as we think about future possibilities.

Each edition will have information for parents and for children around a timely topic, and a session of “Family ‘Round the Table” which will include a dinner theme and menu, activities for your family to do together, a Bible study, and a framework for family prayers and worship.

This month’s edition concludes a five-month series titled “Tough Talks with Children” which has addressed subjects that are sometimes hard for parents to discuss with their children and teenagers. May’s subject talks about “why bad things happen to good people” and, as usual, included are thematic recommendations for the Family Book Club discussion as well as helpful articles and reading lists for children, youth and adults.
